I guess it's for the best...
It has been officially confirmed by MTV that Skins US has been cancelled and won't be renewed for a 2nd season...
The reason?
- Terrible ratings
- Over half the advertisers pulled their ad's
- Parental groups bashed it
This is what MTV had to say about it:
"Skins is a global television phenomenon that, unfortunately, didn’t connect with a US audience as much as we had hoped. We admire the work that the series’ creator Bryan Elsley did in adapting the show for MTV, and appreciate the core audience that embraced it." Well we knew it wouldn't work from the start, if they didn't copy it, they may have had a chance... but hey Skins UK is still on! Yaaayy :)
